2004: Foundation of PGT Thermprozesstechnik GmbH by the shareholder Dipl. Ing. Bernd Planer with the aim of building up an innovative company in the field of injection molding, measurement and control technology. The company name PGT is composed of the initials of the names of the managing director and the authorized signatories (Planer, Grommes, Trompetter).

2004: Cooperation with a Swiss specialist in the field of hot runner technology Dipl. Ing. Christian Stern (Stern Swiss Systems).

2005: Günter Grommes is appointed as second managing director

2005: Contractual cooperation with JUMO GmbH & Co.KG as a system partner for plastics technology

2006: Takeover of the patent rights of the company Stern Swiss Systems through license agreements and takeover of the customers.

2008: Sven Trompetter is appointed as second managing director, Dipl. Ing. Bernd Planer remains shareholder

2008: Relocation to new company buildings with approx. 2,000 m² office and production space in the former Camp Roi Baudouin, a site of the Belgian military. The former military site was converted into a modern industrial area.

2009: Günter Grommes and Sven Trompetter are appointed managing partners.

2010: Dipl. Ing. Bernd Planer leaves the circle of shareholders by selling his shares to KSK Kreissparkasse Köln Beteiligungsbereich. KSK thereby secures a regional share in the innovative company PGT. PGT is in a position to continue pursuing its strategic goals thanks to this financially strong partner. Dipl. Ing. Holger Pfister (head of development) also acquires shares in the company in the course of this measure.

2010: Start of development in the field of polymer technology using the patented Stern Swiss Systems technology with the aim of obtaining further patents in this field and redesigning the business model.

2013: Certification according to DIN EN9001: 2009 and DIN EN14001: 2009 by TÜV Rheinland.

2016: Verkauf aller Geschäftsanteile im Rahmen einer Exit-Strategie an die JUMO GmbH & Co. KG in Fulda, vertreten durch die beiden Geschäftsführer Dipl. Ing. Bernhard Juchheim und Dipl. Kfm. Michael Juchheim. PGT profitiert durch die Integration in die internationale JUMO Gruppe („A member of the JUMO Group“).

2018: PGT ist innerhalb der JUMO Group die 25. Tochtergesellschaft und konzentriert sich mit eigenem Geschäftsmodell auf die Kernkompetenzen Vertrieb, Konstruktion, Entwicklung und Produktion von Polymersensorik am Standort Troisdorf. Das Dienstleistungs- und Produktportfolio von PGT wird von den weltweiten Tochtergesellschaften und den inländischen Niederlassungen einem breiten Kundensegment angeboten. Die PGT profitiert von den JUMO Kompetenzen.

2019: Investitionen in neue Produktionstechnologien und Messtechniken

2019: Ergänzung und Überarbeitung des Geschäftsmodells der PGT

2020: Umsetzung einer geeigneten Organisationsstruktur zum Geschäftsmodell

2020: Einführung neuer Software im Bereich des Qualitätsmanagements (CAQ)

2020: Erweiterung der Simulationsmöglichkeiten innerhalb unserer CAD-Arbeitsumgebung NX

2020: Erste Vorprüfungen starten im Bereich der IATF 16949:2016

2020: Definition einer Produktionsstrategie für neue Marktanforderungen
